Brushing/Wire drawing is a surface treatment process that forms decorative lines on the surface of metal parts through grinding, suitable for decorative treatment of metal materials. This process can make the metal surface present a non mirror gloss effect. According to the difference in surface effect, wire drawing can be divided into two types: straight wire (hairline) and messy wire (snowflake pattern).
Improving mechanical properties: Brushing/Wire drawing can enhance the strength and hardness of metals, change the crystal structure of metals through the stretching process, refine grain size, and thus enhance the load-bearing capacity and service life of materials.
Improving toughness and ductility:The wire drawing process reorganizes the internal crystal structure of metal materials, reduces the distance between particles, and thereby enhances the toughness and ductility of the material.
Better surface effect: The wire drawing process can also texture the metal surface, conceal defects in production, and form a uniform decorative effect. It is commonly used in metal products such as stainless steel, aluminum, and copper.

Metal wire drawing belongs to the surface treatment process of hardware products.
Plastic products cannot be directly brushed with metal, and water plated plastic products can also achieve patterns through metal drawing, but the coating should not be too thin, otherwise it is easy to break.
Among metal materials, the most common ones for wire drawing are aluminum and stainless steel. Due to the lower surface hardness and strength of aluminum compared to stainless steel, the wire drawing effect of metal is better than that of stainless steel.
In order to save costs and improve surface aesthetics, most aluminum products are required to add brushing. Overall, brushed products are usually more aesthetically pleasing.

Due to its scratch resistance and fingerprint resistance, wire drawing is a beautiful choice for various industries. It is usually used for:
Kitchen utensils: Ovens, dishwashers, and refrigerators often use brushed stainless steel because of its scratch resistant properties.
Architecture and interior design: Handrails, wall panels, and elevator doors are commonly used to achieve a fashionable and modern appeal.
Commercial and industrial environments: Due to their ease of maintenance and hygiene, they are commonly used for sinks and countertops.
Automobiles and Transportation: Due to its fashionable and modern charm, it is often used for the interior and decoration of automobiles.
