Note for Sheet Metal Stamping Processing

Sheet metal stamping is a production technology that uses the power of conventional or special stamping equipment to directly subject the sheet to the deformation force and deform in the mold, so as to obtain product parts with a certain shape, size and performance. Sheet metal, mold, and equipment are the three elements of sheet metal stamping. Next, I will introduce to you what are the precautions when performing sheet metal stamping.

1. Sheet metal stamping has small heat conduction and large thermal expansion (Austenitic system), so water-soluble lubricating oil with excellent cooling performance is selected.

2. The work hardening of austenitic stainless steel has high yield strength and tensile strength. The spraying process is prone to springback and cross-bar damage. Therefore, the humidity, stiffness, and wear resistance of the equipment must be excellent, usually select aluminum bronze (PVD, CVD surface deal with).

3. The work hardening characteristics of austenitic stainless steel at room temperature are greatly affected by temperature, and the formability is greatly affected by temperature and speed. Usually, under high temperature and high-speed conditions, the formed part will deteriorate. Therefore, using a warm processing method with less temperature influence can obtain excellent sheet metal stamping performance.

4. For some products, the surface gloss of the stainless steel plate is usually used directly. In external pressure treatment, surface damage should be avoided. In order to prevent surface defects and lubricate, the surface of the steel plate is usually coated with vinyl, or the steel plate is lubricated.

The above four points are the precautions for sheet metal stamping processing. When we notice these problems, the quality of processed products will naturally improve, and we hope to help you.
